probably because of something i happened to look at before i went to sleep, the dreams came back yesterday. not the nightmares made of fear and trembling and cold sweats, but the ones that seem so real because of how much they mimicked what real life should have been like. the sadness, the silence, the ignored existence that becomes normal. and even in the dream i was resigned. then i woke up and felt upset because it was everything i had tried to push away before it came creeping back like nothing i'd ever done had changed it. and that's how different it is in the glaring light, when everything should be pushed away, out of sight.
but at night, the ice weasels still come out.
